Governor McDonnell announced today that the special election to fill the 89th House District seat will be held on December 18th.  The seat was left vacant when Kenny Alexander ran for the Senate and was elected on September 4th. 

Three democrats have filed paperwork to run for the 89th House District; Yvonne Allmond, she works for Towne Bank, Duan Hester, former Norfolk City Councilwoman and Lionell Spruill, Jr., son of current Delegate Lionell Spruill, Sr.
